Movie Contest 2008

 

Each year, NSIT sends an Orientation CD to incoming students, introducing them to the IT environment on campus -- Chalk, email, safe computing, and much more.

This year, we want to raise the stakes. We plan to upgrade to a DVD packed with a number of short movies created by current students especially for incoming students.

And that's where you come in! We invite you to submit a short movie (up to three minutes long) about an aspect of IT on our campus. We've got it narrowed down to five general areas, with a few sample topics under each one that we'd like some focus on.

If your video is selected as one of the winning entries, it will be published on the O-Fest DVD and website and you will win an iPod!

Submissions will be judged on accuracy, entertainment value, and how well they convey information about the topics in question. You can refer to last year's O-Fest site (accessible from the sidebar over there on the left) for background and specifics about the topics covered, but you probably want to cross-reference the current list of NSIT Services to check if anything's changed.

Desktop Picture Contest 2008

More interested in photography than videography? We have something for you, too! We'd also like to distribute University-themed desktop images on our O-Fest disc and website. If you have any appropriate photos of the campus, submit them. If we select your photos for our DVD and website, you will receive an Amazon gift certificate!

 

Deadline

The deadline for video and photo submissions is April 15, 2008.
