College Orientation

Welcome

Dear Class of 2012,

Congratulations on your decision to attend the University of Chicago!

You and your family undoubtedly have questions about planning for your first year at the University of Chicago. We have set up a special Class of 2012 website where you can view all of the information included in the summer mailings, post messages on the bulletin board to your fellow classmates, complete forms and documents necessary for new students, and learn more about the College. This site can be accessed online at http://classof2012.uchicago.edu.

Below, you'll find a summary of events that will take place at the New Student Orientation (NSO) for the College. You'll also find more information about NSO on the Class of 2012 website. New transfer students should visit http://newtransfers.uchicago.edu. NSO 2008 will include programs and events designed to prepare you for life as a student in the College. You will be introduced to resources and administrators who are here to assist you in your transition to the University of Chicago. Throughout NSO, you will have an opportunity to meet other first-years and begin to bond as members of the Class of 2012.

Again, our congratulations. We look forward to meeting you in September.

Sincerely,
College Programming Office
