Microsoft Campus Agreement

The University makes available the latest versions of various Microsoft products to eligible members of the University community through the Microsoft Campus Agreement. The software offered through this agreement may only be installed and used by students, faculty, and staff of the University of Chicago.

The following products* are currently being offered for use under the Microsoft Campus Agreement. This list represents what we expect to be available at the beginning of the Autumn Quarter and may be subject to change. The following software media is being distributed through the NSIT Solution Center.

Student CDs cost between $25 and $35 each and are for sale at the Solution Center (limit one title per student):

  • Office 2007 Enterprise for Windows
  • Office 2008 for Mac OS X
  • Visual Studio .NET 2008 Professional
  • Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade(1)

The above method is the only official means of obtaining the software covered by this agreement. Installing the software through any other mechanism may result in University disciplinary proceedings or legal action. Please note that when you leave the University of Chicago, you are no longer eligible to use the software installed under this agreement; you will need to either discontinue using it or obtain a legal license.

The NSIT Support Line will provide installation support for the software made available through the Microsoft Campus Agreement. Individuals are not eligible for complimentary telephone support directly from Microsoft but should feel free to utilize Microsoft's online resources available through the web at http://support.microsoft.com.
